Audrey Joan Amiss (1933-2013) was a talented artist from Sunderland whose extensive archive of art and writing is preserved at Wellcome Collection in London.
Audrey Amiss’ first museum exhibition opens at Wellcome Collection on 10 July 2026.
In 2023, she was portrayed in Carol Morley’s feature film “Typist Artist Pirate King”.
